I hold a Certified Personal Trainer certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I also hold Kettlebell Concepts 1 (KBC1) certification and CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross. I have experience in personal training with a wide range of clients. My focus is always on finding the particular methods of exercise and nutritional oversight that suit the client’s personal fitness goals.
I feel that part of a trainer’s job should be to help each client navigate around the misinformation and unrealistic expectations that surround fitness in our culture. Cultivating a healthy attitude towards self-improvement, one that emphasizes patience and embracing challenges, is always my goal.
My fitness education background includes extensive private and class instruction from Dr. Doreen Puglisi, owner and founder of the Fitness Trainer Institute of America.
In addition to personal training, I also provide Online Coaching services, including program design, nutrition oversight using calorie-tracking apps, and a weekly Skype call for guidance, exercise instruction, and positive reinforcement. Online Coaching serves as a viable long-distance and affordable alternative to in-person training.
